Horse Back Riding

9/17/09
The girls were excited to go horse back riding at Sorensens. First they went to get the horse.

After a lesson on which brushes to use and how

the girls set to brushing everything from nose to tail.

They watched while Chrystal expertly clean out his feet and put on the saddle and bridle.

Then Jennie led him into the arena.

They were ready to go...if only they could climb up that high.

They each did a great job! And didn't seem to be all that scared.

And after it was all over, they wished they could try it some more.

Happy girls and a happy horse (getting horse treats!)

What a great time!

Justin's Birthday Party #2

9/19/09
We had a great time at Justin's birthday party at Stonefire Pizza.

We got to play a lot of games and get a lot of tickets for prizes.

They even had rides and other fun things like bumper cars, frog hopper and a big ball play place with cannons and guns to shoot the balls.

Jennie Goes Pumpkin Picking

10/21/09
"My class went to the pumpkin picking..."

Natalie, her mom and Addison getting off the bus at Apple Holler.

"I liked the show it was so fun. I thought it would have bad parts in it but it didn't. (She has been worried about scary parts in plays since we went to see Beauty and the Beast.) It was about me, Jennie. Yeah, J-E-N-N-I-E. Noooo, it was about... I don't know....Johnny Appleseed."

"I liked the cookie after the show they said if you're good doing the songs you get a chocolate chip cookie."

"I loved going on the tractor ride. It was really bumpy. We saw animals (pictures) in the trees. We saw a peacock, an alligator and a frog and a pumpkin and aaaaa.... I can't think of anything else."

"I liked picking the pumpkins. It was dirty. I had to wash it off at home. Rachel washed it off for me. I liked it because I love Rachel. I wore boots because it was really muddy. I love the pumpkin."

"I thought it was the juicest apple and it was."

"I liked that Rachel was coming with me."

"I like to take a picture with me and Addison and Natalie. I liked it so much. They are my best friends. Natalie is my really really best friend and Allie and Anna are my really really really really best friends."

Natalie, her mom and Addison walking through the muddy fields.

There were a lot of fun things to take pictures with.

"I like the stacks of the pumpkins and I like the corn that was made out of straw."

"I love to be an apple. And I know....I was about to say I know the church is true, but I shouldn't say that here."

"Natalie pushed me on the tire swing and Addison."

"I liked the maze, but I got stuck. Ummm, I liked the cow maze, but I got stuck. I just did hide and seek with Mrs. Kauffman and Nathan and nobody else. In the corn maze I heard Natalie and her mom."

"The big big chair me and Nathan sat on that was made out of...what was it made out of?" Allie suggested that is was made out of wood, to which Jennie responded, "You weren't there so you didn't know...it was made out of straw." Later as I read this to her she said, "No! It's made out of wood. I'm a joker."

When we got back to school it was time to go home. We spent the whole school time at the pumpkin farm.

"I liked my field trip. It was fun on the tractor. It was too high when I was getting on the tractor."
